Where, oh where, to park for Pinedorado?
According to Lions Club President Andy Zinn, for the Saturday parade, the eighth annual Pinedorado car show Sunday or any of the festival’s three days of operation, members of the public can park across Highway 1 from the end of Cambria Drive. They also can park in a Rodeo Grounds Road parking area in East Village, and then take the pedestrian footbridge to the sidewalk area near the Bluebird Inn.
Because of preparations for the 66th annual Pinedorado parade, no through traffic will be allowed on Cambria’s Main Street after 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, except emergency vehicles and parade entrants.
Businesses can get passes from the Cambria Chamber of Commerce that will allow employees to go to their workplace on Burton Drive from 9 to 11 a.m., but access to Main Street, even for employees, will be closed after 8:30 a.m., Zinn said.
Never miss a local story.
For up to four passes, email the request to Barbara Della Bitta at email@example.com.
The theme for this year’s parade is “Our Light Still Shines.”
