Jerry Gruber, general manager of the Cambria Community Services District, has a new “indefinite term” contract, thanks to the unanimous approval of the district Board of Directors on Oct. 24.
The contract gives him a $157,500 annual salary, reflecting a 5 percent raise of $7,500. The raise and the contract are effective retroactively to June. 28. The evergreen contract has no expiration date.
His pension, health and dental benefits are to continue, as is his $450-a-month vehicle allowance.
The district hired Gruber as utilities manager Nov. 1, 2010, with an annual salary of $113,856 plus benefits. He was promoted to GM when previous general manager Tammy Rudock was dismissed in April 2011.
Neither the public or the board commented on the vote.
