Cambria celebrates its more than 400 scarecrows and the harvest season in a four-day celebration that ranges from live music and vendors to an annual pie-baking competition.
The Cambria Historical Society’s Cambria Scarecrows Harvest Weekend starts at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at the Farmers Market (Veterans Memorial Building) with tasters testing the skills of local pie bakers. Get five tastes for $5.
The Harvest Market on Saturday, Oct. 12, includes more than 30 booths selling farm-fresh products, seasonal treats to eat out of hand or take home, local wines and beer, arts, crafts and vintage items throughout the historic village area of Cambria. Live music from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. includes the SLO Pokes, Marc Irving Weber, Loren Radis, Bob Benjamin, the Mud Skippers, the Morro Bay German Band and BanjerDan (Mazer).
Ticketed events Sunday and Monday are sold out, according to www.cambriahistoricalsociety.com.
