Tourism, water supplies, budgets, reducing fire risk and honoring veterans are among topics on the agenda for the next Cambria Community Services District directors’ meeting at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 23, at the Veterans Memorial Building, 1000 Main St.
According to board President Michael Thompson, directors are to see “Korea Remembered,” a five-minute video about Korean veterans filmed by 16-year-old Cambria videographer Kyle Plummer. He recently screened the video in Washington, D.C., as one of five winning presentations in the “Heroes Remembered: Voices of Korean War Veterans” filmmaking contest. Veterans featured in the film have been invited to the district’s meeting, to be honored there with a short cake-and-coffee reception.
Another presentation is to outline the background, responsibilities and activities of the Cambria Tourism Board.
