Tom Gray — a communications consultant, author, editor and national award-winning editorial writer — is the new chairman of the North Coast Advisory Council (NCAC). He’s also the council’s chair of the Projects/Land Use Committee and representative for Area 6 (Marine Terrace to Trenton Drive and Benson Avenue).
Gray’s wife, nursing educator Barbara Bronson Gray, was appointed in April to the Cambria Community Healthcare District Board of Trustees.
Erwin Ohanannesian, NCAC’s Area 7 representative, will remain the council’s co-chair and chair of the Traffic Committee. New advisory council members are: Heide Santos, Area 2, who was elected as treasurer; Lucille Bosco, Area 8; Mike McLaughlin, business alternate; and Claudia Harmon Worthen, alternate, Area 3.
Former members Gary Gall and Clive Finchamp are now alternates for areas 2 and 8, respectively.The council still needs alternate members for areas 5 and 6 and a Latino/Latina alternate.

The council recommends actions to 2nd District Supervisor Bruce Gibson, and through his office to all other county agencies and departments. NCAC members review items ranging from countywide land-use regulations to where and how to put up a single cellular phone tower or stop sign.
