Arroyo Grande Chapter VN of PEO (Philanthropic Educational Organization) recently awarded Betsy Bettencourt, Julie Schneider and Rebecca Weston with PEO Program for Continuing Education grants to help them finance their education in the Cuesta College nursing program.
The chapter also awarded $1,000 scholarships to seniors Zalak Patel from Arroyo Grande High School; Alexandria Simmons from Nipomo High School; Kaylin Stewart from Central Coast New Tech High School; and LeAnnah Lewis-Style from Lopez High School.
Scholarships were awarded based upon academic achievement and leadership.

The grant will be used toward preventing and protecting seniors from elder abuse by providing outreach and educational tools to help seniors, their families and caregivers when it occurs.
SLOLAF programs provide free legal-aid services, assistance in self-representation and conflict resolution for low- and moderate-income individuals, including seniors and veterans.
