Comments (0) | Two Paso Robles residents are facing felony charges linked to multiple vehicle burglaries that occurred in April, according to information the Paso Robles Police Department released this morning.
The pair, 20-year-old Ernie Ruiz and 30-year-old Anthony Fusco, face charges for stealing from vehicles in Paso Robles neighborhoods and then posting the stolen goods for sale on the online auction Web site eBay.
The information was released this morning because investigators needed time to contact the eBay buyers who purchased the stolen goods, Lt. Tim Murphy said, to attempt to get them back to the original owners. His department has not yet released the types of items or how much money they are worth, he said.
Ruiz was arrested for an outstanding warrant on May 21 and faces four felony counts of grand theft and four counts of possession of stolen property. Fusco was discovered after investigators arranged to purchase an item of stolen property, Murphy said.
Police are currently seeking to file a criminal complaint against Fusco with the District Attorney's office for four felony counts of possession of stolen property, Murphy said.
Anyone with information about these crimes can contact the Paso Robles Police Department by calling the Crime Stoppers line at 549-STOP. - Tonya Strickland
