Comments (0) | Locals and visitors will very likely be able to actually see the fireworks - or lasers - shot off in the 4th of July celebrations Saturday night in Cayucos, Morro Bay and Pismo Beach.
That's because the blanket of fog should remain well offshore.
Skies over Paso Robles, where the other main show will occur, will of course be typically clear.
John Lindsey, meteorologist at Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant, says the weather pattern for the holiday weekend is static -- meaning that morning fog will burn off to the coast by late morning, making for clear skies.
The fog will remain offshore until about midnight, so the rockets' red glare should be plainly seen by those hoping for the annual treat.
High temperatures along the coast will be in the mid-to-high 60s this weekend, while San Luis Obispo will be near 80 and the North County in the 90s.
"Absolutely gorgeous Central Coast weather is on tap for the Fourth of July weekend," says Lindsey.
