closePolice were searching Thursday for two people suspected of assaulting a person with a samurai sword in Morro Bay.
They are looking for Jacob Kiser, 27, of Los Osos and Athena Gatti, 20, of San Luis Obispo in connection with an assault that happened around 5 a.m. Thursday at a home in the 400 block of Java Street, according to a police press release.
The two are suspected of assaulting an unidentified person in the home after police were called to a disturbance there and found blood throughout. People at the home said three people were involved in the fight and one was injured from a samurai sword.
Police learned that the victim went to Twin Cities Community Hospital for cuts to his hand and forearm that appeared to be from a sword.
A $1,000 award is being offered by Crime Stoppers for anyone who provides police with information that leads to the arrest of Kiser and Gatti.
