closeAn Oceano couple changed their plea Tuesday in an armed robbery case.
Mary Beth Delgado and Steve Carrera Delgado pleaded no contest, which leads to a conviction without admitting guilt, to second-degree robbery, officials from the District Attorney’s Office said. The couple was arrested Jan. 15 on suspicion of robbing a Grover Beach convenience store.
They used a rifle during while robbing the Market Express store on 13th Street on Nov. 22 and again Dec. 15, police said. Police later searched their home and reportedly discovered items from the store.
They are scheduled to be sentenced July 14 to two years in prison, said district attorney’s officials.
