South County Transit has launched two new routes.
The new routes — 27 and 28 — will replace the one-directional Route 23 to cut down on travel times. The routes debuted over the weekend.
The weekend also marked the beginning of new fares for South County Transit. The new fare increased to $1.50 and $0.75 for seniors and disabled riders. SCT is also introducing a new $3 day pass ($1.50 for seniors and disabled people). These day passes are for sale on the bus or through the website.
