South County Transit will launch two new routes this weekend with free rides.
The new routes — 27 and 28 — will replace the one-directional Route 23 to cut down on travel times.
This weekend also marks the beginning of new fares for South County Transit. The new fare is increasing to $1.50 and $0.75 for seniors and disabled riders. SCT is also introducing a new $3 day pass ($1.50 for seniors and disabled). These day passes are for sale on the bus or through the website.
