Lake San Antonio Resort will be closing this summer, effective July 1, officials announced Friday.
Adjacent to Nacimiento Lake, Lake San Antonio is located in southern Monterey County, about 16 miles northwest from Paso Robles.
It offers water sports, camping, fishing, hiking and swimming.
Nacimiento Lake, which offers many of the same recreation features, will remain open, according to the announcement posted to http://lakesanantonioresort.com/.
In December, Lake San Antonio was the region's most depleted lake, being only 4 percent full — the lowest it's been since 1967.
Additional details on why the lake is closing and whether the closure is permanent were not immediately available.
