Grandparents and their grandchildren are invited to a tea hosted by the Atascadero Historical Society to encourage more dialogue between the community’s generations.
“(We) would like to encourage you to set aside an hour and a half with your grandchild and expose them to our beautiful history and heritage,” organizers with the historical society’s student outreach committee said in a statement.
The tea is planned for 2 to 3:30 p.m. April 26 at the Hattie Prather Rose Garden outside the Colony House, 6600 Lewis Ave.
The afternoon will include time to share childhood memories and traditions, according to the group.
Never miss a local story.
Tickets are $5 per person and must be reserved by calling 466-0147.
Organizers would like guests to reserve tickets by April 20.
