The northbound Highway 101 off-ramp at Los Osos Valley Road in San Luis Obispo will be closed starting Monday, Feb. 2, at 8 p.m. until Thursday, Feb. 5, at 6 a.m. for a rehabilitation and repaving project.
Drivers may detour by exiting the freeway at South Higuera Street or Prado Road.
The work is part of the overall project to improve the Los Osos Valley Road interchange with Highway 101, project manager Jason Bennecke said.
The project, estimated at $33 million, will eventually widen Los Osos Valley Road to four lanes from the Calle Joaquin intersection to South Higuera Street.
Never miss a local story.
Bennecke said that work on a separate pipeline replacement project on South Higuera Street will continue next week, but work will be focused north of Prado Road to help alleviate some of the traffic congestion for drivers.
Southern California Gas Co. is replacing pipeline along South Higuera Street from the city limits to Bridge Street.
