A woman in her 20s was taken to a local hospital for treatment after being hit by a car Friday evening in Grover Beach.
The Grover Beach Police Department said in a news release that it received a 911 call at 6:34 p.m. about a vehicle-pedestrian collision near North Fourth Street and Ramona Avenue.
Emergency responders found that the woman had suffered moderate injuries after a car hit her while she was using a crosswalk.
Police issued a citation to the vehicle’s driver, a man in his 30s, for driving without a license and failing to yield to a pedestrian at a crosswalk.
Police said the collision remained under investigation Friday evening.
