The Morro Bay City Council postponed its decision Wednesday on where to build its new sewer treatment plant until its Dec. 9 meeting.
The council is deciding between a new sewer at the California Men’s Colony and a site they call Rancho Colina, located outside the city limits on the north side of Highway 41, east of Mission Drive near the Rancho Colina mobile home community.
The council delayed a decision on its preferred site to wait for a report to be completed on the analysis of the CMC site by Carollo Engineers.
The city’s advisory committee on the sewer treatment site also will have an opportunity to review the Carollo report and make a recommendation on a sewer plant location.
Analysis of the Rancho Colina site already has been completed by John F. Rickenbach Consulting.
