Cal Fire Station 15-South Bay in Los Osos, which contracts with the Los Osos Community Services District, is hiring reserve firefighters.
Reserve firefighters are expected to cover two 12-hour shifts per month, attend required training and drills, and return for emergency callbacks at the station.
Applications must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. Nov. 17 with a valid form of identification, a Social Security card, and a DMV report dated within 30 days. Applications are available at the station at 2315 Bayview Heights Drive from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
Cal Fire also is actively recruiting a paid call firefighter, who must respond to emergencies from their home or workplace, for its Station 14 between Morro Bay and Atascadero on Highway 41.
Applications for that position must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. Dec. 26 to Station 11-Cayucos, 108 Chaney Ave. in Cayucos. Applications can be obtained from the Cayucos station from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. For more information, call 528-1053 or 995-1133.
