As part of its 30th annual Light Up A Life Remembrance Ceremonies event, Hospice of San Luis Obispo County will hold nine memorial ceremonies for individuals that have died, starting Nov. 30.
The ceremonies will be held at nine locations throughout the county: at Shore Cliff Lodge in Pismo Beach on Nov. 30 at 4 p.m.; at Lighthouse Suites in Avila Beach on Dec. 1 at 4 p.m.; at Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa in San Luis Obispo on Dec. 2 at 6 p.m.; at Coalesce Bookstore in Morro Bay on Dec. 3 at 6 p.m.; at the Village Gazebo in Arroyo Grande on Dec. 4 at 6 p.m.; at Pavilion at the Lake in Atascadero on Dec. 4 at 6 p.m.; at Kaleidoscope Inn in Nipomo on Dec. 5 at 6 p.m.; at the City Park Gazebo in Paso Robles on Dec. 5 at 6 p.m.; and a special “Paws to Remember” pet peace ceremony at the hospice office in San Luis Obispo on Dec. 8 at 6 p.m.
The Pismo Beach, San Luis Obispo, Atascadero and Paso Robles ceremonies are being held in collaboration with Wilshire Hospice.
The public is also invited to purchase a lantern to “illuminate the memory of a loved one or for someone living they wish to honor,” according to a news release. The honoree’s name will be read at the Light Up A Life ceremony of their choice and entered into the Remembrance Book for a minimum donation of $15. All donations benefit Hospice of SLO County.
Along with the ceremonies, Hospice SLO is coordinating a Light Up A Life online remembrance photo book that will be available at www.hospiceslo.org.
