Downtown gardening day will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday to spruce up the flower beds on Mission Street. All are welcome to meet at the Coffee Station — or just look for volunteers in the bright yellow vests. Please bring your own tools, gloves and water.
Adopt a bench
The Chamber of Commerce encourages individuals, groups, organizations and businesses to adopt a downtown bench by contributing to the Bench Fund. Benches between 11th and 12th streets have been adopted, but there are still orphans. For more information, see Mike Sanders at The San Miguel Mercantile or email him at MichaelJ. Sanders9@gmail.com or 2011SMRC@gmail.com .
