New York Times bestselling author Christina Baker Kline, author of “Orphan Train,” will speak at Cuesta College on Nov. 4.
The event, hosted by Friends of Cuesta College Library, is a fundraiser for the college’s 2015 Book of the Year program.
Kline will read from her historical fiction novel at 6 p.m. on the main stage of the Cultural and Performing Arts Center. The book tells the story of the unlikely friendship that develops between a foster teen and an elderly widow.
“We hope this will be the beginning of a trend of having authors come to Cuesta College and speak about their books on a regular basis,” said Carina Love, Book of the Year committee chairwoman.
Never miss a local story.
Tickets are $10 for students and $20 for general admission and can be purchased at http://www.cpactickets.cuesta.edu.
