The History Center of San Luis Obispo County will host an exhibit focusing on veterans that opened for public viewing Friday and will run through January.
The History Center at 696 Monterey St. in San Luis Obispo will house an exhibit that includes panels listing those Californians who remain unaccounted for from the Korean War to the present.
The exhibit will offer a reception for the event on Oct. 3 from 6 to 9 p.m. as part of Art After Dark at the museum’s Carnegie Library. At that event, local historians and authors Liz and Dan Krieger will also be on hand to sign copies of “War Comes to the Middle Kingdom,” their book about the Central Coast during World War II.
The exhibit also will feature a “White Table of Remembrance,” dinner place setting with white tablecloth, which became a tradition remembering those who were fallen or missing in action in Vietnam.
