Two traffic collisions on Highway 101 on opposite sides of San Luis Obispo slowed traffic Saturday.
The first crash was reported at 11:28 a.m. toward the bottom of the Cuesta Grade on northbound Highway 101. Two vehicles were involved, including a white sedan and a blue sport utility vehicle, according to the CHP traffic information website.
Additional information, including the extent of any injuries and the number of people involved, was not immediately available.
First responders were on scene about noon, and some other drivers could be seen stopping their vehicles alongside the highway.
Meanwhile, another crash was reported just minutes later, at 11:31 a.m., at northbound Highway 101 near the Madonna Road offramp, according to CHP.
It involved what appeared to be a motor home that had jackknifed and hit a Madonna Road sign, but no injuries were initially reported.
However, a larger trailer was needed to tow the vehicle, and the slow lane of the highway was closed just before noon, according to the CHP website. The Prado Road onramp was also closed.
Traffic could be seen backed up on the highway starting just after the Los Osos Valley Road offramp.
