Sagebrush Days was a smashing success
Sagebrush Days at the end of April was fun and successful. A large crowd enjoyed the parade and browsed through vendors and businesses.
Honored Family George and Elaine Work rode in a sporty red convertible accompanied by two of their grandchildren.
First-place awards went to: Vehicle Group — Estrella Warbirds Museum; Individual Vehicle — Gib Buckman and his 1960 El Camino; Mounted Group — Los Vaqueros de San Miguel; Marching Group — Veterans Honor Guard; Best Theme (Old West) — Native Daughters of the Golden West.
The Parade Committee Special Award went to Eileen Rogers, retiring Lillian Larsen teacher and Hornet Queen. The winning apple pie was made by Tamara Parent and the tastiest salsa was submitted by Terry Gilespie. See pictures and the Work family story on the San Miguel website below.
