Symphony of the Vines, in collaboration with Canzona and the Cuesta North County Chorus, will present a choral celebration at 3 p.m. Sunday in Mission San Miguel. Canzona, a women’s choral ensemble, will perform works by female American composers. The symphony and Cuesta Chorus will perform “An American Mass.” General admission is $30; seniors pay $27, and students $15.

Pleasant Valley fun run planned Sunday
Pleasant Valley School is hosting a 5K Run/Walk on Sunday to raise money for its computer lab and technology. The “Color my Future” run for adults and children begins at 8:30 a.m. at the school, at the intersection of Estrella and Ranchita roads, and winds through hills and vineyards. Following the run, there will be a block party with a tri-tip BBQ, games and a silent auction. Community garden receives a donation
The Community Garden at Lillian Larsen School has gratefully received a generous donation from contractor and builder Steve Nino, who is constructing Jazzy Town, the new development on River Road west of the bridge across the Salinas River. The funds will help keep the garden growing. Thank you for supporting our school.
