The Prado Day Center warming station, which serves the homeless, will be open Wednesday through Saturday to provide shelter from the storm that is expected to bring rain and high winds.
Volunteers are needed to help staff the warming station during the following shifts: 4:30 p.m. to midnight and midnight to 8 a.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
Prepared dinner meals, for up to 40 people, are needed for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Donations of plates, bowls, cups and utensils are also needed. Also needed are coffee, creamer, juice, cereal and sleeping bags. Donations can be sent to 43 Prado Road in San Luis Obispo.
Those who have questions, or an interest in volunteering or donating, can email dtorres@capslo.org or call 440-6760.
