Taste some wine
Saturday is always a good day to go wine tasting, and the Pleasant Valley Wine Trail tasting rooms are open for your Christmas shopping.
From San Miguel take River Road from Mission Street, cross the tracks and then the bridge over the Salinas River. Turn left at the east end of the bridge and go up the hill. At Locatelli you will find the Mission San Miguel labels.
There also, you can pick up a map that leads you around the circle, to Villa San Juliette, Ranchita, Tackitt, J&J Cellars, Graveyard Vineyards, Silver Horse and River Star.
