The San Miguel Advisory Council will meet Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Community Building in the park on K Street behind the library. The group is a liaison to county planners and the Board of Supervisors. It also receives reports from the Sheriff’s Office, the CHP, the CSD and community groups.
Farm Bureau selling holiday See’s candy
The San Luis Obispo County Farm Bureau Women are taking orders for See’s candy from now until Nov. 15.
Candy will be delivered in December. Proceeds are used to fund scholarships.

Three events to be held Oct. 26
At 1 p.m., Mission San Antonio de Padua will hold its annual “Day of the Dead” All Souls Mass to honor the ancestors of the Salinians who built both San Antonio and San Miguel missions . Music for the Mass will be provided by the New World Baroque Orchestra.
The Mission is in southern Monterey County — head north on Highway 101 and take the Jolon exit.
From 4 to 7:30 p.m., Walk for Life will hold a chicken and tri-tip “Fajita Fiesta” dinner in the Mission San Miguel Parish Hall. Dinner tickets are $25 and also include five drawings for door prizes and a Walk for Life T-shirt.
There will be a silent auction and lively entertainment.
Tickets must be purchased in advance. They’re available at the Mission Parish Office, after Sunday Masses or by calling Walk for Life Hotline at 400-5429.
From 7 to 9 p.m., the Friends of the Adobes invite you to experience a Candlelight Tour of the Rios-Caledonia Adobe, 700 Mission St. Listen to ghost stories and enjoy refreshments. It’s “spook time” in the adobe!
