A two-car collision sent one of the vehicles careening off Halcyon Road and into the front wall of an Arroyo Grande home Sunday.
The cars collided in the northbound lane, slightly south of Fair Oaks Road sometime before 1 p.m., according to a Five Cities Fire news release.
The first car sustained severe rear end damage, and the driver was taken to Arroyo Grande Community Hospital, according to the release.
Three people were in the second car, which hit the house at 555 Halcyon Road. The woman driving the car was taken to the hospital, and the other two occupants, a disabled boy and his father, were unharmed, according to the release.
Sgt. Mike Smiley of the Arroyo Grande Police Department said the injuries suffered by both drivers were very minor, and both are expected to recover.
The cause of the accident is under investigation, Smiley said.
The house, which sustained significant damage, was unoccupied at the time of the accident, said Nick Nystrom of Smith & Sons Fire Response, which was on the scene. Nystrom said the homeowner rents the building out, and the current tenants only live there part time.
Smith & Sons was in the process of removing the vehicle and debris from the site when Nystrom spoke to The Tribune on Sunday afternoon.
Halcyon Road was closed for an hour following the incident, but was reopened about 2 p.m.
