Phase I of a new housing development by Nino Construction will soon be rising on the old Stanley (Netto) property at the west end of the bridge on River Road. A lot of dirt has already been moved, and currently an antiquities study is in process.
A schooling option
The San Miguel School District offers a comprehensive home-school program with state-adopted textbooks and materials. A credentialed home-school specialist works closely with parents to oversee the work and give assignments.
The program provides a flexible schedule for parents and children while assuring the students receive an accredited education. The home-schooled students have access to the school’s computer lab and library and are invited to participate in art and music, field trips and assemblies at the school.
