The San Miguel Advisory Council will hold its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, in the Community Building in the park. Representatives of law enforcement and county planning will give reports and take public comment at the meetings, along with reports from town organizations and agencies.
Members of The San Miguel Resource Connection have been working for the past year on the San Miguel History Project. Their intention is to bring attention to the town’s history.
In the first phase, they are developing a timeline with character cutouts based on drawings made by Lillian Larsen students under the tutelage of artist Steve Kalar. The timeline is being mounted and displayed on the fence of Awalt & Sons Aqua Engineering just north of the mission. Historical buildings in town have been identified and researched.

On Sept. 28 at 9:30 a.m. the public is invited to a ribbon-cutting and a brief presentation of the project at Fr. Reginald Park on the north side of the Mission. History Walk brochures and other items will be available there and afterwards at Caledonia Days.
The San Luis Obispo County Garbagemen’s Association recently presented the San Miguel School Board with a check for $2,500 for Lillian Larsen School. This generous donation will be used for art and music programs. A big thank-you from the staff and students for their support!
