The trails were originally anticipated to re-opened Friday, but the project was extended an additional day, according to Blair Jones, PG&E spokesman.
The work is part of a larger, multi-year project in San Luis Obispo County to upgrade transmission lines. PG&E is upgrading its 70 kilovolt transmission lines from Atascadero over the Cuesta Grade to San Luis Obispo.
The $36 million project includes replacing 132 wooden utility poles with light-duty steel poles, and replacing 41 out of 45 steel transmission towers.
