A motorcyclist lost control and crashed into the center divider on northbound Highway 101 south of San Luis Bay Drive on Wednesday, causing traffic to back up in both directions for more than an hour, according to the CHP.
The woman appeared to have a broken arm, said CHP Officer J.W. Townsen, and was taken to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center. No one else was injured in the crash.
Officers are still investigating the cause of the 2:30 p.m. crash, but it seemed that unsafe turning was the cause, Townsen said.
The woman was traveling from Los Angeles and appears to be in her late 20s early 30s, Townsen said.
