A review of the public draft of the Camp Roberts Joint Land Use Study — which addresses the compatibility between training activities at Camp Roberts and surrounding communities — will be held Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall behind Mission San Miguel. Car show
The Friends of the Adobes’ Model A and T Car Show takes place Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Rios-Caledonia Adobe. Admission is free. There will be wine tasting and food.
Book signing
The Rev. Larry Gosselin OFM, who was stationed the past few years at Mission San Miguel, will hold a book signing of his book of poetry, “Hidden Sweetness,” on Thursday, June 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Parish Hall. The book is illustrated by San Miguel artist Steve Kalar. Refreshments will be offered.
Pre-Father’s Day barbecue
The Native Sons of the Golden West, San Miguel Parlor #150, will host a pre-Father’s Day chicken barbecue on Sunday, June 9, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Community Park at 12th and K streets. Dinners of half chicken, beans, garlic bread and salad are $10. Drive-through service is available.
Fiesta at Mission San Antonio
Mission San Antonio will hold their annual Fiesta on Sunday, June 9, from noon to 4 p.m. Fiesta Mass is at 11 a.m. The traditional oak barbecue dinner is $12 for choice of top sirloin or chicken with accompaniments. Live music, games and vendors will be part of the festivities. The mission is northwest of San Miguel on Fort Hunter Liggett. Take the Jolon exit off Highway 101 to Mission Road.
