A dozen male inmates of the Sheriff’s Honor Farm who have completed a 60-hour program that teaches alternatives to violence will graduate Saturday, Feb. 9, in ceremonies at the Sheriff’s Honor Farm, 880 Oklahoma Ave., San Luis Obispo. The ceremony begins at 11:30 a.m.
The program is designed as a proactive approach to violence and seeks to help inmates deal with resolving conflicts.
The graduating inmates have completed workshops on alternatives to violence and how to resolve conflicts. They will become certified facilitators for future programs. Two graduates of a recent class are facilitating the current group.
