City planners and developers are holding a public workshop Dec. 13 to study a plan that could double the size of Atascadero.
The Eagle Ranch workshop, planned for 6 p.m., will be set up as an “interactive neighborhood workshop to engage the public in the ongoing design” of the project, according to a city news release.
Eagle Ranch would add more than 3,000 acres to Atascadero’s southwest side. It’s poised to be the largest annexation in the city’s history.
The plan would add new homes, a commercial village and two hotels to a sprawling stretch of rural hills and valleys.
Traffic and road access have been among existing neighbors’ chief concerns with the plans.
The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 6907 El Camino Real.
