Hillary Trout has been named president and chief operating officer of Villa San Juliette Vineyard & Winery. She had previously been a certified public accountant at Longcrier & Associates.
The winery, in the Pleasant Valley area of San Miguel north of Paso Robles, was co-founded in 2007 by producers Ken Warwick and Nigel Lythgoe.
Warwick’s credits include “American Idol.” Lythgoe’s credits include the British TV series “Pop Idol” (which led to “American Idol”) and “So You Think You Can Dance.”
The winery produces 35,000 cases a year and has been selling wine wholesale in 35 states under the brands Villa San Juliette and Fat Monk, Trout said in a news release. It plans to open a tasting room within a few weeks, she wrote.
