Correction: An earlier version of this story gave the wrong phone number for the San Luis Obispo County Clerk-Recorder's Office. The correct number for information is 781-5228.
The last day a voter can apply for a vote-by-mail ballot for the June 5 election is Tuesday, San Luis Obispo County Clerk-Recorder Julie Rodewald announced.
Her office must receive the application by that date in order to allow enough time for the vote-by-mail ballot to go out to the voter and be returned in time.
Voters can still get voteby-mail ballots after May 29, but only by being present in the Clerk-Recorder’s Office at 1055 Monterey Ave. in San Luis Obispo.
Never miss a local story.
Rodewald said nearly 83,000 ballots have been issued to permanent vote-bymail voters and those requesting ballots for this election.
