Pismo Beach police are investigating a stabbing that happened late Sunday on the beach north of the pier.
Police were advised at 11:32 p.m. that a stabbing victim had been admitted to a local hospital. According to a news release, a 21-year-old Bakersfield man was stabbed one time by an unknown person or persons.
The man’s name is not being released because detectives are in the middle of the investigation, said Pismo Beach police Cmdr. Mark Miller.
Police also would not release the name of the hospital he was taken to, nor would they say where on his body he was stabbed. Miller said the man is in stable condition.
Anyone who has any information or saw anything unusual on the beach north of the pier is asked to call police at 773-2208.
