The final vote count is in for Tuesday’s election on Measures A and B in San Luis Obispo.
Measure A passed with 74 percent of the vote, according to results released by the San Luis Obispo County Clerk-Recorder's Office. Its passage means that the City Council can now negotiate reduced employee retirement benefits without seeking voter approval.
Measure B, which repeals binding arbitration, passed with 73 voter support.
Nearly 44 percent of registered voters returned their ballots in the city’s first mail-only special election.
