The temblor was centered 7 miles northeast of San Simeon and 4.5 miles underground, according to the USGS. Residents of Paso Robles and Atascadero also felt the quake, according to the USGS website.
There were no immediate reports of injury or property damage, and very little, if any, would be expected from a quake of this size.
