The San Luis Obispo County clerk-recorder’s elections division will be open extra hours this weekend for people wishing to vote in the special election about binding arbitration in San Luis Obispo.
The office will open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is located at the government center, 1055 Monterey St., San Luis Obispo.
Voters can request a replacement ballot or return their filled-out ballot.
The AutoMark ballot-marking device will be available for use by voters who have a visual impairment or have difficulty marking the ballot.

Ballots must be received by 8 p.m. Aug. 30 to be counted. They can be turned in at the Clerk-Recorder’s Office during normal business hours and on Election Day, left at the Clerk-Recorder’s office drive-up drop-off between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., or returned to one of four drop-off centers:
- San Luis Obispo Grange Hall, 2880 Broad St.
- Congregational United Church of Christ, 11245 Los Osos Valley Road
- Zion Lutheran Church, 1010 Foothill Blvd.
- Creekside Mobilehome Park, community room, 3960 S. Higuera St.
If a voter intends to mail a ballot, Clerk-Recorder Julie Rodewald recommends that it be mailed by today.
