In a summer notable more for chillier-than-usual weather, today's conditions reflect a typical day of real summer on the Central Coast.
Currently, National Weather Service monitoring stations are recording a high of 103 degrees northwest of Paso Robles. The Morro Bay harbor, meanwhile, is a cool 60 degrees.
Local forecaster John Lindsey, a PG&E employee with more than 20 years of experience monitoring Central Coast weather, says the coming week should feature great summer weather.
Highs in San Luis Obispo will be near 80, while Paso Robles will be in the high 90s. Persistent fog in the morning hours will keep the coast cooler.
