The 2011 Santa Barbara County Fair starts today at the Santa Maria Fairpark, featuring daily performances by local musicians and dancers, carnival rides, a country rodeo and other events.
The fair — with the theme “Bright Lights and Magical Nights” — runs through Sunday.
The entertainment lineup includes performances by Boyz II Men, Rick Springfield, and country singers Tracy Lawrence and Clint Black. The shows are free with fair admission.
General admission is $5 for children ages 6 through 11 and those 62 and older, and $7 for those ages 12 to 61. A wristband for unlimited carnival rides costs $25 on weekdays and $30 on weekends; parking is $5.
