The National Weather Service has issued a small-craft advisory for the waters off the Central Coast in effect through 3 a.m. Tuesday.
Forecasters expect northwest winds between 20 and 25 knots, with occasional gusts to 35 knots Sunday and Monday nights.
The advisory covers the waters between Point Piedras Blancas north of San Simeon to Point Arguello in northern Santa Barbara County.
The agency issues small-craft advisories when it expects winds to produce conditions that would be hazardous to small vessels.

It advises that inexperienced boaters, particularly those in smaller vessels, avoid navigating during these conditions.
