A woman trapped at the base of a cliff in Pismo Beach was rescued Tuesday night.
The woman told authorities that she was walking on the beach below the Best Western Shore Cliff Lodge on Price Street just after 8 p.m. when the tide came in and she couldn’t reach higher ground. She climbed on a rock and became trapped there, according to Cal Fire.
Responders pulled the woman to safety. She was not injured, according to Cal Fire.
Authorities weren't able to confirm the woman's identity Wednesday morning.
Pismo Beach/Cal Fire sent two engines, one rescue truck, a lifeguard and a battalion chief to the scene.
Pismo Beach police also responded.
