Sixty-four students graduated from Lopez High School on the Nipomo Mesa this year.
Christian Avalos was named the continuation school’s student of the year, chosen by staff in a vote for the student they think best represents the school’s standards in attitude, behavior, attendance and school work.
Graduates were recognized at a commencement ceremony at the school Wednesday.
Also on Wednesday, 12 students graduated from the San Luis Obispo County Office of Education’s special education programs. Graduates from the education programs for developmentally disabled students were recognized in a ceremony at the Oceano Community Center. They received a certificate of completion.
