A San Luis Obispo woman drove her car into a power pole on Los Osos Valley Road early today, causing a power outage and a road closure, according to police.
Around 1:51 a.m., Kelsey Leatherbury, 26, of San Luis Obispo was driving south on Los Osos Valley Road toward Prefumo Canyon Road when she made an erratic turn, according to a news release from San Luis Obispo police.
Her vehicle struck a curb and started to roll, hitting a power pole with a transformer, police said. The vehicle ended up on its roof in the right lane of Los Osos Valley Road.
The damage to the power pole and transformer caused a power outage and resulted in the closure of Prefumo Canyon Road, police said.

Leatherbury was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash, police said.
Just before noon Monday, police announced that the right lane of Los Osos Valley Road will be closed until about 3 p.m. while Pacific Gas & Electric crews repair the power pole.
Also, the traffic signal at Los Osos Valley Road and Laguna Lane will be disconnected for a couple of hours, police said, so drivers should treat the signal as a stop sign.
