Carrizo Plain residents are being invited to a meeting this afternoon to discuss solar power plants and other community issues.
County Supervisor Jim Patterson is hosting the town hall meeting, which will run from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Heritage Community Center, 10750 Hwy. 58, on the Carrizo Plain.
After nearly two years, one solar plant has been approved by the Board of Supervisors and the second has been approved by the Planning Commission.
Both solar facilities would be located on the Carrizo Plain.
Representatives from the Sheriff’s Department, CalFire/County Fire and the Planning Department, including code enforcement, will join Patterson to answer questions.
