Motorists can expect minor delays in Atascadero as crews re-pave El Camino Real from Rosario to San Anselmo avenues through May 27. The northbound and southbound lanes will remain open.
Businesses will be open and accessible during the roadwork.
The work is part of the third phase of a 10-year project to freshen up the downtown area.
Next up is work on Atascadero Creek Bridge, a new bike lane on El Camino Real and decorative streetscape additions.
All the work on the $652,000 project is expected to wrap up by the end of September.
The funds come from the city’s Redevelopment Agency and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
